Ume is my favorite!
They are in seasons around the end of May to early June.
I prepared umes for 5 different ways to preserve.
Picked umes, ume suger syrup, ume suger apple vinegar syrup, ume wine(plum wine), and umeboshi.
I will update the recipes for myself and omochi.

What do they taste like?
ReplyDeleteYou cannot eat them fresh. Either pickled with salt or sugar, then you can eat it. Its aroma is like a summer peach and smells so good. Sadly, you want to eat but can't! After pickled with salt, it tastes salty and super sour.
